KIDS WHO ROCK MUSIC CAMP
Teacher, Repairman, Engineer
Kids Who Rock is a free music camp for kids who want to learn how to play instruments and write songs together. Over the course of one week, students will pick up a new instrument, be grouped into bands, learn how to collaborate in creating a band name, logo, and write a song together.
Being a nonprofit, the camp relies on the generous donations from the music community. Amps, guitars, strings, drums, violins, PA systems, and more have been taken in, though not everything is in top condition when it arrives.
I have been teaching at KWR since 2020, teaching beginner bass, drums, setting up and running stages, as well as repairing and setting up any donated gear that needs some TLC. I act as an all-around musician, teacher, repairman, and audio engineer for the camp.
